In the 1820s and 1830s, dedicated pioneer ministers of the Presbyterian faith embarked on a mission to establish congregations across western Georgia. It was in 1837 that Loyd Church found its beginnings in the Long Cane Community alongside our Baptist friends in a shared sanctuary. In 1886, Loyd Church, named after the visionary James Loyd, who pioneered the first Sunday School program in Troup County, made a significant move to its current site, where our vibrant community continues to thrive.
We warmly invite you to embark on a journey of faith with us. Join us as we grow in discipleship, worship, and meaningful connections within this part of the Body of Christ known as Loyd Church. Together, let's impact our community and deepen our walk with Jesus Christ!
