Dear Brothers and Sisters of Loyd:
The year 2020 has been a challenging, disruptive, perplexing and troublesome time for all of us at Loyd Presbyterian Church. We have had to deal with the departure of
our pastor, the interruption of our programs, ministries and worship services by the Covid-19 pandemic and the financial hardships of the ensuing recession. We have lost loved ones and been
unable to properly mourn them.
Through it all, God has been a constant presence in our lives and we are assured that better times lie ahead for us individually and collectively.
With our stewardship campaign beginning, the Finance Committee wants to stress the importance of our continuing financial commitment to the church and God’s work. As we rejoice always, please
prayerfully consider your family’s pledge to support Loyd’s ministries. Christian giving is an act of worship, a way of giving thanks to God for all He has given us.
By making a pledge, you can help the church plan its ministries for 2021. We are confident that God will enable us to meet the church’s and the congregation’s needs in 2021, but it does require
financial commitment from the congregation.
You can make your pledge by returning the enclosed pledge card or by using the convenient online link Click here to pledge online.
Pledge cards will also be available in the narthex at church.
Pledge Sunday will be November 22. That will be Thanksgiving week, and a wonderful opportunity to give thanks to God by pledging financial support for His church.
The year 2021 will be an exciting one for Loyd. We have our interim pastor Dave Omerod in place. Church members will be participating in the Holy Cow survey early in
the year as we begin the search for our new pastor. Our programs for all age groups have resumed.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration during the Stewardship Campaign on November 8-22.
