Stewardship 2022

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. I Thessalonians 5:16-18

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Loyd:

Falling leaves, shorter days and cooler temperatures remind us that fall has arrived in all its splendor. The season of Thanksgiving will soon be upon us, and Christmas is right around the corner.

Fall is an important season in the life of Loyd Presbyterian Church, because it is this time of the year when we plan our programs and ministries for the coming year. A key part of that planning process is our annual stewardship emphasis. This year our stewardship campaign will run from November 7-21.

The year 2022 will be a special one for Loyd. We will call a new pastor next year and will choose new leadership for our music and youth programs. It’s exciting to think about all the possibilities that lie ahead for Loyd as we embark on a new era in our role as God’s people doing God’s work. We can look forward to using the renovated kitchen in Darden Hall and participating in church events without the dark shadow of Covid hanging over our heads.

During our stewardship campaign, the Finance Committee wants to stress the importance of continuing financial commitment to the church and God’s work. As we rejoice always, please prayerfully consider your family’s pledge to support Loyd’s ministries. Christian giving is an act of worship, a way of giving thanks to God for all He has given us.

By making a pledge, you can help the church plan its ministries for 2022. We are confident that God will enable us to meet the church’s and the congregation’s needs in 2022, but it does require financial commitment from the congregation.

You can make your pledge conveniently by using the online form here: https://forms.gle/b5uCRKGNiM2U1T5D8, bringing your pledge card to the church or mailing it to the church.

Pledge Sunday will be November 21. That will be Thanksgiving week, and a wonderful opportunity to give thanks to God by pledging financial support for His church.  We will have a catered Thanksgiving luncheon after worship to celebrate together and give thanks for all of our blessings.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration during the Stewardship Campaign November 7-21.

Sincerely,

Loyd Presbyterian Church Finance Committee
